Report Execution
Note: See Toolbars and Icons for a legend of icons in Analytics.
Wait page
The wait page is displayed if results are not immediately returned when you request the execution of a report. The wait page contains the report name and its current execution status. When your report is ready, the report results page automatically replaces the wait page.
The wait page automatically refreshes itself at a time interval specified by CCC ONE® Analytics. To refresh the wait page yourself, click the Check Status Again link.
The following applies to your options for action during and after report execution: CCC ONE® Analytics supports asynchronous execution. If your user privileges include the asynchronous execution privilege, you do not have to wait for one execution process to finish before you perform another action with Insurance Reporting. You can, for example, run additional reports or browse other pages while your report is running.
To access additional information for any report in the History List, click the Details icon in the appropriate row. The Details page opens, providing the following information:
- Report name
- Report Description
- Owner
- Report Path
- Modified
- Start Time
- Finish Time
- Report Details
- SQL Statement
When you click on the "Show Advanced Details" button the following information is shown:
- Total number of rows
- Total number of columns
- Server name
- Message ID
- Job ID
- Report ID
- Status
- Message Created
- Message Last Updated
Note: Some fields may not be displayed if the appropriate information is not available.
Note: You can also access this page while the report is running by clicking the Show report details link on either the Wait page or the Prompt page.
Note: You must have the Web Report Details privilege in CCC ONE® Analytics to view the report details.
To cancel a report during execution, click the Cancel button on the Wait page to return to the folder from which you made the request.
You can remove manipulations made to a report since it first executed. Manipulations that can be removed are sorting, pivoting, page by, and graphing. Manipulations that cannot be removed are changes to the grid or graph styles, changing a report from a grid to a graph (or vice-versa), and drilling. To reset the data, select Reset Data from the Data menu.
Note: If manipulations were not made to the report, Reset Data cannot be selected.
Once a report has been executed, you can click the Refresh icon at the top of the page to refresh the report. Depending upon the settings your administrator has chosen, clicking this icon:
- refreshes the report with data retrieved from the latest valid CCC ONE® Analytics cache
- re-executes the report directly using the warehouse data
To tell which will happen, place the mouse icon over the Refresh icon, and read the tool tip that appears. The tool tip says either "Refresh" or "Re-execute Report" depending upon your administrator's settings. If you are using an older browser that does not support tool tips, contact your administrator to find out what settings have been selected for the Refresh icon.
You can re-answer prompts for reports using the Re-prompt icon, which is available with all reports that contain prompts.
To re-prompt a report, click the Re-prompt icon located at the top of the report in the Report Home or Data toolbar.
Re-prompt displays the prompt with the previous answers you submitted. The previous answers in this case behave the same way as Default answers for prompts behave the first time they are executed.
If you have made changes to the report after running it, such as pivoting or formatting changes, those changes may or may not be preserved after re-answering the prompts. Whether or not they are preserved depends on how the prompts in the report were defined.
