Print reports

You can print reports displayed in either Grid or Graph mode. Follow these steps:

  1. Format the report as you want it to appear when printed.
  2. Click the Print icon at the top of the page with the Report Home tab selected. The Print Options page opens.
  3. Select suitable options for printing your report. These options are explained below.
  4. Click Show Printable Version at the bottom of the Print Options page. This displays the printable version of the report. Anything within the lines (print area) will be printed; anything outside of the print area will not print.
  5. Click the File menu, select Print from your internet browser's menu bar.

Note: Be sure that the printer settings for the browser match those you have chosen for the report in Insurance Reporting. For example, if you choose to print the report with a landscape orientation in Insurance Reporting, check that the browser's printer properties are also set to print in a landscape orientation.

Print options page

Printing from Insurance Reporting depends on how the browser's printer settings are set up. The Insurance Reporting printer settings are intended to help you format reports before you print them. The Print Options page opens when you click the Print icon.

Print

Select to print the Whole report or Portion displayed only from the drop down.

Scaling

To adjust the amount of the report's content (and thus, the size of the font) that prints on a page, select one of two options:

  • Grid rows per printed page: Type in the number of rows you want to print on a page (maximum 50).
  • Grid columns per printed page: Type the number of columns you want to print on the page. (maximum 20)
  • To adjust font, select the Adjust font to__% of original size radio button, enter a percentage in the field.
  • To adjust fit, select the Fit to: __ pages wide by__ tall radio button, enter how many pages wide and tall you want the scaling to be.

Print cover page with filter details: Check this box if you like to show the “Filter details” on the print out.

Expand all page-by fields when printing: If you are printing a report that has one or more items in the Page-by axis, this option becomes available on the Print Options page. To print all combinations of items in the Page-by axis, select the Expand all page-by fields when printing check box. Once you are viewing the printable version, click Next block of pages at the bottom to view the next portion of the report.

Note: The administrator can set the limits for the number of cells per block and the number of graphs per block.

Orientation

Select Portrait if you want the report to print vertically; select Landscape if you want the report to print horizontally. Verify that the browser's page orientation print settings are the same as the print options you choose in Insurance Reporting.

Show/ hide advanced options

Click Show advanced options to set the orientation, paper size, margins, and maximum header and footer size and an option for Embed fonts.

Paper size

Select the size of the paper on which you want pages printed under Show advanced options. Verify that the same paper size is selected in the browser's print settings.

Header and footer

You can specify the text to be displayed at the top (header) and at the bottom (footer) of each printed page:

  • Use report settings: The text saved as part of the pre-designed report is printed.
  • Use custom settings for Page Header and Footer (edit): By selecting the Edit Custom Settings… link next to Page Header and Footer, the Header/Footer Editor page is displayed. You can specify what text to print in the left, center, and right portions of the header and footer. Type in text or insert fields specific to the report by clicking "insert" icons near the top of the page. These options include: page number, number of pages, date, time, project name, report name, template name, filter name, filter details, and user name. For example, to add text in the footer such as "Page 1 of x" (where x is the total number of pages in the report), click in the center text box in the Footer portion. Type the word "Page " then click the Insert page number icon. Type " of " then click the Insert number of pages icon. This would look like the following when you are finished: "Page &[Page] of &[NPages]" (without the quotation marks).
  • Use custom settings for Report Header (edit): By selecting the Edit Custom Settings… link next to Report Header. Enter report header in the Header field. The Insert Auto-text... drop-down field can be used to auto insert date, page number, etc. into the report header.

Cover page

Select the Print cover page checkbox to include a cover page in the summary PDF. There are the following additional options:

  • Select the radio button to include Filter Details or Report Details.
  • Select the Cover page location radio buttons to set the cover page location to Before report or After report.

Do not prompt me again

Leave this check box unchecked. If you check it, you will not be able to adjust the format of the reports that you export in the future.

Note: In order to remove the checkmark, you will have to call CCC Technical Support.

Print Grid and Graph

You can print both the grid and graph of a report, by selecting the Print icon when you are viewing a report in Grid and Graph mode. The Print Options page displays where you can choose either to print the grid and the graph on the same page, or on separate pages.

  • Select the Print the grid and graph on the same page check box. The graph you are currently viewing will be placed on one page along with the corresponding grid. Additional sections of the report, if any, will be displayed on subsequent pages, always with the graph and its corresponding grid rows on the same page.
  • Clear the Print the grid and graph on the same page check box. The graph page viewed in Insurance Reporting will be displayed as the first page, followed by as many grid pages as necessary to cover the data displayed in the graph. In this case, you can further specify Scaling information.
  • If there is an additional portion of the graph to print, a link at the bottom of the last page will take you to the next portion of the graph along with its accompanying grids.
  • Select the Use bitmaps for graphics checkbox to use bitmap for graphics, if this option is selected you can also select Use draft quality for graphs.
