Overview - Recycled Parts Services

The Recycled Parts Services (RPS) is a feature purchased from CCC which allows you to access up-to-date recycled parts data and pricing from selected vendors. This enables you to utilize a cost effective alternative to OEM parts in an estimate. The RPS data are located on CCC servers. Contact CCC to enable this feature.

RPS retrieval preferences are set up in the insurance company claim office and repair facility profiles. This feature allows you to set up a list of preferred recycled parts vendors. The selected vendors are then used in the retrieval of RPS data and will also be used to send RPS data with assignments you receive. There are two options in which a manual request for RPS data can be made. The RPS search can be based upon the preferred vendors list, or based upon the zip code and radius values that are defined in the profile RPS retrieval preferences.

If opening a workfile more than one day after the assignment was downloaded, a manual request can be made to refresh recycled parts from the designated vendors by using Retrieve RPS function in the workfile toolbar.

Other options include setting the number of days your RPS data will expire. When RPS data has expired, you are prompted to retrieve RPS data when the workfile is opened.
