Sending an Open Shop Assignment

The Open Shop Assignment feature allows you to send an assignment to a non-DRP repair facility asking them to share the estimate electronically. They may already have the estimate written (walk-in) or they can create the estimate from the assignment. See Learning Open Shop.

To send an Open Shop assignment (Open Shop Facility Search)

  1. From the CCC® Workflow – Claims Management Portal Home page, click the Open Shop Facility Search link, under Claim Management (on the left side of the screen).
  2. The Search for a Repair Facility screen appears. Fill in the mandatory fields, denoted with an asterisk.
  3. Click the Search button. The search results page is displayed. Locate the repair facility you want.
  4. Click the select link.
  5. The Send an Open Shop Assignment screen appears, Enter the Claim Reference ID. Click the Send Assignment button. A success notification will display at the top of the page.
  6. The shop will see the Open Shop assignment in the CCC Portal.

To send an Open Shop assignment (from Claim Folder)

  1. From the CCC® Workflow – Claims Management Portal Home page, enter the Claim Reference ID in the Quick Search for Claim Folders search box.
  2. Click the Search button. The search results page is displayed. Locate the claim folder you want.
  3. Click the Claim Reference ID link. The Claim Folder for the selected claim is displayed.
  4. Click the Send Open Shop Assignment link, under Claim Management (on the left side of the screen). The Search for a Repair Facility screen appears.
  5. Fill in the mandatory fields, denoted with an asterisk, then click the Search button. The search results page is displayed.
  6. Locate the repair facility you want and click the select link. The Send an Open Shop Assignment screen appears.
  7. Confirm the Claim Reference ID is correct. Click the Send Assignment button. A confirmation pop-up page is displayed.
  8. Select the OK button to confirm you want to convert this claim to a Demand Estimate.
  9. The pop-up page will close, and a success notification will display at the top of the Send an Open Shop Assignment page.
  10. The shop will see the Open Shop assignment in the CCC Portal.

 

To send an Open Shop assignment (from Assignment Entry)

  1. From the CCC® Workflow – Claims Management Portal Home page, click the Create/Modify Assignment link, under Claim Management (on the left side of the screen). The Assignment Entry – Key Data screen appears.
  2. Enter the Claim Reference ID, then click the Create/Modify Assignment button. The Assignment Entry – Create/Modify Assignment screen appears.
  3. Fill in the mandatory fields, denoted with an asterisk, then click the search for appraiser link, under the Appraiser section. The Search for Appraiser to Assign screen appears.
  4. Enter the mandatory fields, denoted with an asterisk and click the Find Appraiser button. The search results page is displayed.
  5. Locate the repair facility you want, under the Open Shop Repair Facility section, then click the select link. The Create/Modify Assignment page is displayed, the selected repair facility is displayed in the Appraiser section, denoted with (Open Shop)
  6. Click the Send button, and then select the Confirm Send button. The Assignment Entry – Key Data page displays. A success notification will display at the top of the page. The shop will see the Open Shop assignment in the CCC Portal.
