The Request Open Shop Estimate feature allows you to send a request to a non-DRP repair facility asking them to send an estimate copy of an owner-obtained (i.e., walk-in) estimate.
To request an estimate that has a CCC® Estimating Workfile ID
- From the CCC® Workflow - Claims Management Portal Home page, click the Request Open Shop Estimate link, under Claim Management (on the left side of the screen).
- The Request an Open Shop Estimate screen appears. Enter the Claim Reference ID. Click the Request Estimate button.
- In the dialog that appears, Does Estimate Have a CCC® Estimating Workfile ID?, go to the Yes field on the left side.
- Enter the CCC® Estimating Workfile ID, and the Last Name. The VIN field is optional.
- Click the Request to Share Estimate button.
The CCC ONE shop will receive a message that an insurance company has sent a Request to Share Estimate.
To request a non-CCC estimate
- From the CCC® Workflow - Claims Management Portal Home page, click the Request Open Shop Estimate link, under Claim Management (on the left side of the screen).
- The Request an Open Shop Estimate screen appears. Enter the Claim Reference ID. Click the Request Estimate button.
- In the dialog that appears, Does Estimate Have a CCC® Estimating Workfile ID?, go to the No field on the right side. Make sure the Search by Repair Facility button is selected.
- Fill in the mandatory fields, denoted with an asterisk.
- Click the Continue button.
- The search results page displays. Locate the repair facility you want.
- Click the select button. A success notification will display at the top of the page.
The shop will see the new request in the CCC® Portal.
