Canceling a Sent Assignment in Customized Assignment Entry
You can cancel a previously sent assignment.
- To cancel a sent assignment, click Search for Assignments and set search criteria to find the assignment.
- On the Assignment Search Results page, click the Claim Reference
ID link to view the assignment information.
The Loss and Adjuster tab appears with the information in the text boxes. - Click the Cancel button to cancel the assignment. The Recipient specified on the Recipient tab receives a notice of cancellation.
Note: If the assignment has already been canceled, you can retrieve the assignment and enter a new recipient; however, the system will treat this as a "new" assignment.
