Canceling a Sent Assignment in Customized Assignment Entry

You can cancel a previously sent assignment.

  1. To cancel a sent assignment, click Search for Assignments and set search criteria to find the assignment.
  2. On the Assignment Search Results page, click the Claim Reference ID link to view the assignment information.
    The Loss and Adjuster tab appears with the information in the text boxes.
  3. Click the Cancel button to cancel the assignment. The Recipient specified on the Recipient tab receives a notice of cancellation.

Note: If the assignment has already been canceled, you can retrieve the assignment and enter a new recipient; however, the system will treat this as a "new" assignment.
