Claim Folder Tool

CCC® Workflow - Claims Management provides the Insurance Claim Folder Management tool to help organize assignments that you send, and the associated items that are sent back by the Appraiser. Claim folders assigned to you will be displayed on your CCC Portal home page. But you can also search for claim folders using a search tool that allows you to specify a wide variety of search criteria.  

Everything in a claim folder is read-only.

Note: If you have the necessary permissions, the Assignment tab displays a Modify button on the action bar. The Modify button is a link to the Assignment Entry tool, where you can modify an assignment. You cannot modify an assignment from within the Claim Folder tool.

The Claim Folder tool enables you to search for and view estimate/supplement reports, digital images, events and documents; create and respond to claim folder notes; and perform functions such as creating a check request. Reinspectors have the ability to approve or decline an estimate or supplement. Claim folders are created automatically when an assignment is created or when an appraiser sends information for a claim folder.  The claim folder contains data and comments relating to a claim.  It can include one or more of the following:

  • The Assignment
  • Estimate/Supplement Report
  • Digital Images
  • NICB Report
  • Unrelated Prior Damage Report
  • Claim Summary Report
  • EMS Data
  • Claim Folder Note
  • Check Request

Note: An assignment created in Customized Assignment entry will look the same as other assignments (i.e., those created without the Customized Assignment Entry tool) when opened within the Claim Folder tool.
