Valuation Equipment Glossary
This glossary has two groups: Attributes and Metrics. Each group contains categories, select any category to see the Attributes/ Metrics, and Definitions.

Attribute | Definition |

Adjuster (Level 1 - 7) | The management hierarchy levels (1 -7) of the Adjuster when the valuation was submitted. Contacts in the CCC Registration system can be configured with a manager. |
Adjuster Name | An adjuster is the person who typically works in an insurance company and manages the claim on behalf of that company. The last adjuster is the most recent person assigned to manage a claim. |
Appraiser (Level 1 - 7) | The management hierarchy levels (1 -7) of the Appraiser when the valuation was submitted. Contacts in the CCC Registration system can be configured with a manager. |
Appraiser Name | The name of the person or repair facility that appraised the vehicle. |
Claim Category | Claim Category is a grouping of Claim Type into Structural, Vehicle, Other or Unknown. |
Claim Number | The alpha-numeric value assigned as the claim number. |
Claim Office (Level 1 - 6) | This is the Claim office Hierarchy ( 1- 6). Contacts in the CCC Registration system can be configured with a manager. |
Claim Type | Claim Type is an attribute that reflects the type of claim appraised. Values include: (Bus, Heavy Equipment ,Heavy Truck, Recreational Vehicles and Campers, Trailer, Watercraft, Emergency, Motorcycle, Sport/Off Road, Unknown, Other, Structural, Vehicle). |
Claim Type Detail | Claim Type Detail is a attribute that gives more detail to the Claim Type. For Example Values for "Vehicle" Claim Type include: (Car, Pickup, Utility Vehicle, Other, Specialty Car, Van, Personal Property, Unknown). |
Company Name | This folder corresponds to the insuring company name for whom estimates and supplements and total loss valuations were generated. The prompt window within Intellisphere displays the hierarchy of the company as set up and maintained in CCC’s Front Office System. This hierarchy includes all locations to which data is tied, as well as all locations at levels above the lowest level locations. Once a report is generated, the user can drill down to lower levels within the Company hierarchy. |
Door Style | The door style as specified on the appraisal for the loss vehicle. |
Drivable Flag | An indicator used to denote whether a vehicle is considered drivable or not. It has values as Drivable , Non-Drivable or Unknown. |
Engine Type | The engine type as specified on the appraisal for the loss vehicle. |
Equipment | Specifies the equipment that was captured on the valuation. |
Equipment Change | Specifies whether if the equipment was Added or Removed. |
Equipment Type | Specifies whether equipment was an Option or Package. |
Installed Type | Specifies whether if the equipment was either Manual or Instant. |
Loss Category | Loss Category is the type of coverage for a particular claim. Valid loss categories include: Collision, Comprehensive, Liability, Other, Unknown. |
Loss Date | The date of loss as specified in the valuation request. |
Loss Type | Identifies the type of loss that caused the claim: Theft, Collision (includes all Non-Theft valuations for all loss coverages (i.e. Comprehensive, Liability, AND Collision), Other, and Unknown. |
Loss ZIP Code | The loss zip of the vehicle owner as specified in the valuation request. 'Owner' in the Claim Information section of the MVR. |
Month | Month the valuation was captured. |
Odometer Range | Condition attribute defined by the vehicle odometer specified for the loss vehicle in the appraisal. Values include: (Unknown)(1-20k miles)(20-40k miles) (40-60k miles)(60-80k miles)(80-100k miles) (100-120k miles) (120-140k miles) (140k+ miles). |
Option Type | This attribute categorizes the equipment as specified on the MVR. |
Original Valuation Date | The original date the valuation was performed. |
Quick Val Flag | Indicates if a quick valuation production was leveraged. |
Quick Val Source | Specifies the source of the quick valuation (Quick Valuation Consumer, Quick Valuation DRP, Quick Valuation Standalone Mobile Module). |
Refurbished | A flag that indicates post valuation requests which had a refurbishment adjustment. |
Settlement Date | The date specified on the settlement tail returned to CCC for each valuation. |
Settlement Type | Identifies whether settlement information has been entered, and if so, the method in which the settlement information was provided to CCC. Values include: "Y" for Yes ,"E" for electronic settlement, and "N" if blank or No. |
Severity Group Range | Series of dollar ranges used to group loss vehicles based on their Final Valuation Amt (equivalent of 'Total' on the MVR). |
Submitter Alias/Login | The login of submitter on the initial request. |
Submitter Name | The submitter's name on the initial request. |
Submitter Type | Identifies the ‘type’ of submitter that submitted the valuation. Types include: (Staff Appraiser, Independent Appraiser). |
Val Request Name | The name of the individual who requested the valuation. |
Val Requester Level (1 - 7) | The management hierarchy levels (1 -7) of the Val Submitter who requested the post valuation. Contacts in the CCC Registration system can be configured with a manager. |
Valuation Date | The date of the most recent valuation. |
Valuation Request ID | The numerical identifier associated with the valuation requester. |
Valuation Source | Valuation Source is an attribute that reflects how the valuation was requested. Examples include: FAX, CCC ONE, PHONE, and PORTAL. |
Valuation State Code | The loss state of the vehicle owner as specified in the valuation request. 'Owner' in the Claim Information section of the MVR. |
Valuation User ID | The total loss user id associated to the valuation. |
Valuation User/Username | The name of the office associated with the Valuation. |
Valuation Version | Version of the valuation. |
Vehicle Age | The age of the vehicle based off of the model year in the year in which the valuation was completed – i.e. if a 1995 model year vehicle was valued in calendar year 2000, the age would be 5. |
Vehicle Make | The brand or manufacturer of a vehicle, representing the company that designed, produced, and marketed the vehicle. |
Vehicle Model | The specific version or variant of a vehicle produced by a manufacturer. It typically includes details such as trim level, options, and features that distinguish it from other models within the same make. |
Vehicle Odometer | The mileage recorded on a vehicle's odometer at time of loss. It may indicate the distance traveled by the vehicle since its manufacture, last maintenance, or a specific event. Odometer ranges can be used for various purposes, such as assessing vehicle usage, estimating depreciation, or evaluating maintenance needs. |
Vehicle Style | The vehicle style as specified on the appraisal for the loss vehicle. It usually tell the Door and body style of the Vehicle like 2D SED, 4D SED, 2D Van etc. |
Vehicle Type | Classifies the vehicle into a specific category or type based on its intended use, design, and characteristics, such as passenger car, commercial vehicle, truck, motorcycle, etc. |
Standard Predominant | Standard Predominant values: "Standard" "Additional" Standard is the equipment that is included in the base confirmation of the vehicle at the time of purchase. Additional is equipment that is not Standard but was noted to be on the loss vehicle. |

Equipment Add Count | The total number of equipment that were added. |
Equipment Remove and Add Count | The total number of equipment that were added and removed. |
Equipment Remove Count | The total number of equipment that were removed. |
Original Equipment Count | The total number of equipment for the initial valuation version (valuation version = 1). Doesn't include post valuation versions. |
Post Val Percentage Equipment Added | The total number of equipment added divided by the total number of equipment added and removed. |
Post Val Percentage Equipment Removed | The total number of equipment removed divided by the total number of equipment added and removed. |
