CRV Valuation Glossary
This glossary has two groups: Attributes and Metrics. Each group contains categories, select any category to see the Attributes/ Metrics, and Definitions.

Attribute | Definition |

Adjuster ID | The ID of adjuster responsible for claim. |
Adjuster Name | An adjuster is the person who typically works in an insurance company and manages the claim on behalf of that company. The last adjuster is the most recent person assigned to manage a claim. |
Appraiser Id | The ID of person or repair facility that appraised the vehicle |
Appraiser Name | The Appraiser is the actual staff appraiser, repair facility, or independent appraisal company that generated estimates or supplements for a given insurance company. The list will display the concatenated appraiser name and appraiser Login ID for staff appraisers. For repair facilities and independent appraiser companies, the list will display the company’s name. |
Claim Number | The alpha-numeric value assigned as the claim number. |
CRV Type | Identifies the type of vehicle that was on the valuation: Small Craft Marine: A small vessel, other than a tank ship or tank barge Medium Marine: Medium-sized, trailer able vessels that are usually utilized for activities like a variety of commercial and recreational boating Large Marine: Large sized vessel used for variety of commercial and recreational boating Conversion Van: A van in which the cargo space has been converted to a special purpose Travel Trailer: A trailer drawn especially by an automobile and equipped for use (as while traveling) as a dwelling Trailer: A trailer is an unpowered vehicle towed by a powered vehicle. It is commonly used for the transport of goods and materials. Specialty Vehicle: Vehicle custom-designed for a special need or specific purpose Manufactured Housing: A mobile office is an office built within a truck, motorhome, trailer or shipping container Motorcycle: A two-wheeled vehicle that is powered by a motor and has no pedals Motor Home: a motor vehicle equipped like a trailer for living in, with kitchen facilities, beds, etc. Truck: Heavy-Duty pickup used for heavier use Heavy Equipment: Heavy-duty vehicles specially designed to execute construction tasks |
Date Entered | The date the valuation was submitted to CCC for valuation. |
Date Valued | The day the valuation was generated by CCC. The default display has the format mm/dd/yyyy e.g. 12/10/2016. |
Loss Category | Loss Category is the type of coverage for a particular claim. Valid loss categories include: Collision, Comprehensive, Liability, Other, Unknown |
Loss Date | The date of loss as specified in the valuation request. |
Loss State | The state where the loss occurred |
Loss Type | Identifies the type of loss that caused the claim: - Theft - Collision (includes all Non-Theft valuations for all loss coverages (i.e. Comprehensive, Liability, AND Collision) - Other - Unknown |
Loss Zip | The zip code used in the Valuation. It is the 'Location' in the Vehicle Details section under the Vehicle Information on the MVR. The CBSA and State is derived from the Loss Zip Code. |
Odometer | Condition attribute defined by the vehicle odometer specified for the loss vehicle in the appraisal. Values include: (Unknown)(1-20k miles)(20-40k miles) (40-60k miles)(60-80k miles)(80-100k miles) (100-120k miles) (120-140k miles) (140k+ miles) |
Request Number | The number CCC assigns to each valuation completed to uniquely identify each valuation. |
Valuation User ID | The total loss user id associated to the valuation. |
Valuation User Name | The name of the office associated with the valuation. |
Vehicle Body Only | Body Categories drill to Types to Body Styles |
Vehicle Class | Specifies the series assigned to the vehicle |
Vehicle Make | The brand or manufacturer of a vehicle, representing the company that designed, produced, and marketed the vehicle. |
Vehicle Model | The specific version or variant of a vehicle produced by a manufacturer. It typically includes details such as trim level, options, and features that distinguish it from other models within the same make. |
Vehicle Year | The model year or production year of the vehicle, representing the calendar year in which it was manufactured. It is often used to determine the age and specifications of the vehicle. |
VIN | The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). |
Loss County | The county where the loss occurred. |
Loss CBSA | The cbsa of the loss vehicle. The city is derived from the zip code of the loss vehicle location. |
Claim Office (Level 1-6) | This is the Claim Office Hierarchy (1- 6) from the claim office in the portal. Levels are defined in the CCC Registration system can be configured by the office location. |
Latest Request Number Flag | Indicates the latest valuation request for the claim. |

Metric | Definition |
---|---|
Adjusted Value Amount | This is the Valuation Amt (aka Base Vehicle Value) adjusted to account for the actual condition of the loss vehicle and certain other reported attributes, if any, such as refurbishments and after factory equipment. |
Adjusted Value Amount AVG | This is the average Adjusted Amount across Valuation Requests. |
Adjusted Value Amount MED | This is the median Adjuster Amount across Valuation Requests. |
Base Value | The local market base valuation amount as determined by CCC methodology plus any condition adjustment or refurbishment adjustment amount. |
Comparable Count | The number of valuations where a vehicle comparable was leveraged to determine the vehicle value. |
Condition Rating | Condition rating of the loss vehicle(s). |
Current % of Vals with Post Val | The percentage of valuations that have post valuations. |
Dealer Quote Cnt | The number of valuations where a dealer quote was generated. |
DMV Amount | DMV feesfor vehicle title transfer. |
Entered To Val Days | The total count of days from the date the valuation request was submitted to the date the valuation was generated |
Entered to Valued Days AVG | Average Entered to Val Days across Valuation Requests. |
Entered to Valued Days MED | Median Entered to Val Days across Valuation Requests. |
Final Valuation Amount AVG | This is the average Final Valuation Amt across Valuation Requests. |
Final Valuation Amount MED | This is the median Final Valuation Amt across Valuation Requests. |
Final Valuation Amt | This is the Valuation Amount plus all adjustments processed by CCC. |
First Post Val to Last Post Val Days | The total number of days from the date the first post valuation change was completed by CCC to the date the last changes to the post valuation changes was made. If no post valuation changes were submitted, this data element would not be populated for that valuation. |
First Post Val to Last Post Val Days AVG | The average days from First Post Val to Last Post Val across Valuation Requests. |
First Post Val to Last Post Val Days MED | The median days from First Post Val to Last Post Val across Valuation Requests. |
License Fee Amt | Total dollars associated to the license plate removal charged by the vendor. |
Loss To Submitted Days | The total count of days from the date of loss to the date of loss to the submit. If no valuation is submitted, this data element would not be populated for that valuation. |
Loss To Val Days | The total count days from the date of loss to the date the valuation completed by CCC. |
Other Adjusted Amt | The total dollar amount after adjustments for condition, refurbishments, Pre- and/or Post Tax Adjustments, and Sales Tax. |
Post Val Amt | Dollar adjustment amount for post valuation changes. |
Post Tax Adj Amt | Amount after Adjustments made to the value of the vehicle after Sales Tax is applied. |
Post Val Total Count | Count of how many Post Val changes were made to the initial valuation. |
Post Valuation Amt | Dollar adjustment amount for post valuation changes. |
Pre Tax Adj Amt | Amount prior to Adjustments made to the value of the vehicle before Sales Tax is applied. |
Prior Damage Amt | The total dollar amount of adjustments for damages to the vehicle prior to the current claim. |
Refurb Amt | The total dollar amount of refurbishment adjustments. |
Sales Tax Amount | The total dollar amount for taxes applied to the valuation. Tax reflects applicable state, county, and municipal taxes. 'Vehicular Tax' on the MVR. |
Sales Tax Percentage | The total percentage for taxes applied to the valuation. Tax reflects applicable state, county, and municipal taxes. 'Vehicular Tax' on the MVR. |
Salvage Retention Amt | The total amount retained by the policy holder after retaining the salvage vehicle. |
Settlement Amt | The Settlement Amount after all adjustments are considered |
Submitted To Val Days | The total count of days from the submitted date where valuations where entered. If no valuation was entered, this data element would not be populated for that valuation. |
Title Fee Amt | Total amount of fees for vehicle title. |
Valuation Volume | The number of CRV valuations. |
Valued to Last Post Val Days | The total number of days from the date the valuation was completed by CCC to the date the last changes to the post valuation changes was made. If no post valuation changes were submitted, this data element would not be populated for that valuation. |
Valued to Last Post Val Days AVG | The average days from date of valuation to date the last change was made to the post val across Valuation Requests. |
Valued to Last Post Val Days MED | The median days from date of valuation to date the last change was made to the post val across Valuation Requests. |
Vehicle Age | The age of the vehicle. The number of years from the current year to the model year of the vehicle. |
Vehicle Age AVG | Average age of vehicle across Valuation Requests. |
Vehicle Age MED | Median age of vehicle across Valuation Requests. |
