Viewing a Guideline Exception Report

The Guideline Exceptions Report shows which Insurance Company guidelines have been triggered. You can view the report based on the insurance company or on the guideline.  

To view (run) a guideline exception report

 

  1. Select View Rule Exceptions Report. The Guideline Exception Report criteria appears.
  1. Change the Date Range, then choose:
    1. Select specific dates, then enter the date range
    2. Select Number of Days and enter a number between 1 and 7
  2. Select a Location, then choose:
    1. All Location(s)
    2. Individual Location(s)
  3. Select the Display Options, if necessary select the Get Claim Details checkbox then choose:
    1. Group by Insurance Company
    2. Group by Rule

Note: If you select Get Claim Details, claim numbers will appear in the Guideline Exception Report.

  1. Then in the respective Insurance Company(s) or Rule(s) sections choose:
    1. Click add insurance company.
      1. Then Select Insurance Company section opens.
      2. Click any Available Insurance Companies that you want to select.
      3. Click the right arrow to select the company names move to the Selected Insurance Companies field.
      4. Click the Select & Close button. You will return to the Rule Exceptions page and your selected insurance companies will appear in the rules section.
    2.  Click add rules.
      1. Then Select Rule section opens.
      2. Click any Available Insurance Companies that you want to select.
      3. Click the right arrow to select the company names move to the Selected Insurance Companies field.
      4. Click the Select & Close button. You will return to the Rule Exceptions page and your selected insurance companies will appear in the rules section.

Note: If you want to remove a company or guideline, select it and click remove.

  1. Click Run Report.
  2. The Guideline Exception Report appears with your criteria selections at the top of the screen.

Note: To change the criteria after running a report, click the Change Criteria button.

Note: To print the report click the Print Report button.
